Ras Al Khaimah Strengthens India Trade Engagements, Connects with More Than 750 Travel Partners
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has concluded an extensive series of trade engagements across India, reinforcing its focus on India as one of its key international source markets. A three-city roadshow covering Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad from September 21–24, was followed by RAKTDA’s participation at Mélange 2026 in Mumbai on September 26–27.
A delegation of tourism stakeholders from Ras Al Khaimah accompanied RAKTDA during the roadshow, engaging with travel agents, tour operators, MICE specialists and wedding planners through destination presentations, one-to-one meetings and networking sessions.

Across the three-city roadshow and its participation at Mélange 2026 in Mumbai, the delegation connected with more than 750 travel trade partners, providing an opportunity to strengthen destination knowledge, build industry relationships and explore new business opportunities for Ras Al Khaimah.
The engagements highlighted opportunities across leisure, family travel, destination weddings and MICE, while showcasing the destination’s diverse portfolio of beaches, desert landscapes, mountains, mangroves and heritage experiences. With a growing pipeline of hotels, attractions and entertainment offerings, the trade engagements also provided partners with insights into the destination’s evolving tourism landscape and its potential for Indian travellers.

India recorded 14% year-on-year growth in visitor arrivals to Ras Al Khaimah in 2025, with the positive momentum continuing into 2026. Indian visitor arrivals from May 2026 to date have increased by 30% year on year, while room revenue has grown by 12%, highlighting the continued potential of the Indian market.
Ras Al Khaimah welcomed more than 670,000 visitors during the first half of 2026, marking its strongest first-half performance on record. The destination is working towards its ambition of welcoming more than 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030.
Connectivity remains an important driver of this growth. Direct flights from several Indian cities are operated by IndiGo, Air India Express and Air Arabia, offering convenient access to Ras Al Khaimah. The destination is also approximately 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, providing Indian travellers with additional connectivity options.
RAKTDA is also expanding its airline partnerships. A recently signed MoU with Emirates covers joint marketing and advertising initiatives, trade and media familiarisation programmes, tailored products and packages, as well as trade incentives in selected markets.
Expanding Hospitality and MICE Infrastructure
Ras Al Khaimah’s growing hospitality portfolio is further strengthening its appeal to the Indian leisure, MICE and destination wedding segments.
Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves, opening soon, will add 258 rooms, one of the destination’s largest pillar-free ballrooms, ten meeting rooms and a dedicated alfresco events space, creating new possibilities for conferences, incentives, weddings and social events.
Meanwhile, SAIJ Mountain Lodge by Mantis, Jebel Jais’ first mountain lodge, is scheduled to open in early 2027. The property is expected to bring a nature-led hospitality experience centred on wellness and outdoor adventure.
Further ahead, Wynn Al Marjan Island, scheduled to open in September 2027, will feature 1,530 rooms, suites and villas, alongside a major new offering of dining, entertainment, retail and events. The development is set to further expand Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal to international travellers.
One Destination, Diverse Experiences
For Indian travellers, Ras Al Khaimah offers the opportunity to combine diverse landscapes and experiences within a single destination. From beaches, mangroves and desert landscapes to heritage sites and the Hajar Mountains, the destination provides flexibility for travel partners to create varied itineraries for families, couples, groups and special-interest travellers.
Adventure seekers can experience Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, while cultural experiences include Suwaidi Pearls, the only pearl farm in the region. Desert stays, wellness experiences, dining, nature and outdoor adventures further broaden the destination’s offering.
Through its India roadshow and participation at Mélange 2026, RAKTDA continues to deepen its engagement with the Indian travel trade and strengthen destination knowledge at a time when Ras Al Khaimah is entering its next phase of growth in the Indian market.
