TAAI Announces 69th Convention & Exhibition – Indian Travel Congress 2026 in Kolkata
TAAI to celebrate 75 Years of Excellence, Leadership and Service from 25–27 October 2026
The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has announced its 69th TAAI Convention & Exhibition – Indian Travel Congress 2026, to be held from 25–27 October 2026 at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata, West Bengal.
This year’s convention assumes special significance as TAAI celebrates 75 Years of Excellence, Leadership and Service to India’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
Established in 1951, TAAI has played a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of India’s travel and tourism sector. Today, the Association represents approximately 2,500 member companies actively engaged across outbound, domestic and inbound tourism, MICE, aviation, hospitality and allied sectors.
69th TAAI Convention Returns to India
In a significant departure from hosting its convention overseas, the TAAI Managing Committee has decided to bring the 69th Convention to India.
Guided by the call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to showcase and promote India’s tourism potential, the decision reinforces TAAI’s commitment to Incredible India, strengthening domestic tourism and positioning India as a leading destination before the national and global travel fraternity.
Kolkata, with its rich heritage, culture, cuisine and distinctive character, will provide the backdrop for this landmark edition of the Convention.
A Landmark Gathering of the Travel Industry
The three-day convention is expected to welcome approximately 900 delegates and members of the media from across India.
The event will bring together government representatives, industry leaders and stakeholders from travel, tourism and hospitality, along with airlines, hotels, destinations, technology companies, MICE specialists and allied sectors.
Through business sessions, discussions, networking and industry engagement, the Convention will provide a platform to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships and deliberate on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of India’s travel and tourism industry.
Celebrating 75 Years – Looking Towards the Future
The 69th TAAI Convention & Exhibition marks an important chapter in the Association’s history as it celebrates seven and a half decades of contribution to Indian tourism.
While commemorating TAAI’s rich legacy, the Kolkata Convention will also look towards the future—bringing the industry together to explore new opportunities, collaborations and pathways for sustainable growth.
