Skål International India National Congress 2025 Concludes in Mumbai

The Skal International India National Congress 2025 concluded at Sahara Star, Mumbai (Sept 12–14), with a record 200+ delegates from India and abroad. The event featured prominent personalities, including Maneka Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Pooja Bedi, Subhash Ghai, and Zayed Khan, adding star power to the occasion.
At the core was the Annual General Meeting, where President Sanjeev Mehra and Treasurer Monik Dharamshi presented transparent reports and outlined Vision 2025–2030 for growth and global engagement.
The first-ever Skål Indian Excellence Awards recognised outstanding clubs and members for performance, innovation, CSR, and global outreach. Chennai, Goa, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Jammu & Kashmir, and individual leaders were among the winners.
India’s leadership was reaffirmed as the largest Skål country globally, surpassing the USA, with four Indian clubs ranked among the world’s top ten. Ambitious expansion plans include launching clubs across all states and UTs, strengthening collaboration through twinning, and positioning India as a hub for global tourism networking.
The congress emphasised sustainability with eco-friendly practices and showcased the spirit of “Doing Business Among Friends” through vibrant networking and cultural exchanges. Looking ahead, Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Jammu & Kashmir are finalists to host the 2026 congress, while India also eyes hosting global and Asia congresses.
THE SKÅL INTERNATIONAL INDIAN EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2025
For the first time, Skål International India’s national board has launched the Skål International Indian Excellence Awards 2025, designed to recognise outstanding contributions from clubs, individuals, and Friends of Skål. The awards celebrated the achievements in club performance, membership growth, innovation, sustainability, and community impact.
