Korea Tourism Organization Hosts Delhi and Mumbai Roadshows as Indian Arrivals to Korea Grow by 13% in 2025
The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) strengthened its engagement with the Indian travel trade by hosting Korea Tourism Roadshows in New Delhi and Mumbai on 12 and 13 March 2026, respectively. The events highlighted key initiatives to drive future growth in Indian visitor arrivals to Korea.
As part of its 2026 strategy, KTO introduced two major trade-focused programmes—the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) programme and the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0—designed to empower travel partners to curate high-quality, diverse travel experiences to Korea.
India continues to emerge as a high-growth source market for Korea. In 2025, the destination welcomed nearly 200,000 Indian travellers, marking a 13% increase compared to the previous year. On a global scale, Korea recorded close to 19 million international arrivals, exceeding its annual target and reinforcing its strong global appeal.

Speaking on the occasion, Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organisation, said that India remains a key focus market for Korea’s tourism growth. He noted the rising interest among Indian travellers in Korean culture, experiences, and destinations, and expressed confidence in reaching the target of 270,000 Indian visitors in 2026.
The K-Incentive Scheme 4.0 encourages travel agencies to create Korea-focused itineraries that go beyond Seoul, promoting regional destinations such as Busan, Gangwon State, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeongju. Agencies are required to submit detailed proposals, with selected partners receiving visa support, marketing assistance, and performance-based rewards. Top performers will also be recognised at the conclusion of the programme.

Complementing this, the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) programme is an exclusive certification initiative aimed at agents specialising in premium travel. Through structured training and insights into luxury offerings, the programme equips agents to design high-end itineraries featuring five-star stays and signature Korean experiences. The first webinar under this initiative is scheduled for 23 March 2026.
With these initiatives, KTO continues to deepen its collaboration with the Indian travel trade while positioning Korea as a preferred and evolving destination for Indian travellers.
